From Wikipedia I learn that thery're a Belgian group formed in the nineties, they released a number of singles and disappeared from the scenes in 1999. They have now come back on track with new singers, the latest single is don't stop (2011):
it's not bad, but as you probably may have noticed I'm now more into discovering and reharsing dance hits from the nineties, so how could I miss the opportunity to brush up my memories and dive in 1996 dance charts, where PLAY THIS SONG was definitely a hit (nr. 01 in Spain):
LIFT U UP (nr. 01 in Belgium, 1996) is also a well-known song, enjoy it!

future breeze - why don't you dance with me

LADY GEE -THE GAME IS OVER 1996

this is one of the songs that made me think about sex. Whenever i listened to it, I couldn't help but think how exciting it would have been to have had sex with this song in the background.. lol leather and heels !!! ;-)
To my surprise, it's an italian girl we're talking about.
According  to these news items: http://popculture90.forumcommunity.net/?t=35517553 she became famous for this aforementioned single not only in Italy but also abroad. It's not the only single released and FEEL SEXY TONIGHT (1997) was an international hit:

her latest single dates back in 2002, tomorrow. I personally don't know these two songs, and I actually think that the first one was the best. here's her 2002 track:

Giacomo Orlando

Here you can find a list of his main tracks releases till 1998:

symphoniko 1995
acid brain 1995
bimbologiko 1996
trippologiko 1996
kainos/kurzweill 1996

and this is the video for Kainos:

Apparently, in ancient Greek it means "new in nature and quality", but takes different meanings in a religious book: the Bible. Neos, as explained here below, means "new in origin and time", perhaps he was inspired by those biblical verses? Or may it be that the track just happened by chance to be named after that?

R.A.F. by Picotto - Ocean Whispers and Bakerloo Symphony, 1996

A classic example of 90's italian progressive music by Picotto, famous dj all around Europe, also thanks to his 1998 smash hit KOMODO. Back in 1996, the project also released another superb song that had made all of us hit the dancefloor for a long time. I remember it was only 3-4 years later (when I got used to planning my week-end based on which was the best disco to jump into) that I had the chance of dancing it for the first time (I was actually 16 and was allowed to go to disco on Sunday afternoons only), and still I couldn't help but feeling on air... Ladies and gentlemen, here weeeee are, BAKERLOO SYMPHONY!

A shy guy from Mönchengladbach, Germany: SASH! Part two

Of course the career of this dj from Germany doesn't end with it's my life. from 1996 to 1998 all of his hits from the first album are major tracks in many European clubs and discos. His second album Life goes on (1998) also feature well known tracks such as La primavera, Mysterious times, Move mania and Colour the world. Here is a short dcescription from http://www.danceartisinfo.com/:

1998
Sash! released a single in March 1998 called "La Primavera".
This single was the first one from their second album "Life Goes On".

In July Sash! released a song called "Mysterious Time" and it featured Tina Cousins ("Angel", "Killing Time") on vocals (this single lead to Tina Cousins breaktrough).
It's a very typical Sash! song with strong synths and great vocals.
On August 17 the longawaited album "Life Goes On" was released.
The album contains 11 songs including the hits "La Primavera" and
"Mysterious Times" and one Hit Mix mixed by Oliver Momm.
In late 1998 the single "Move Mania" featuring Shannon was released.

Out from his first major hits, which is the one you like most? If I were to make a chart based on my favourites, I would definitely put Stay at number one:

Encore une Fois at second place and La primavera at number three:
All the other ones are fine, bar colour the world and move mania which are for sure not my cup of tea!

A shy guy from Mönchengladbach, Germany: SASH!

Sash! - Encore une fois

Great hit by dj Sash!, that brought him to fame almost worldwide in 1996. From his first album "It's my life - 1997 are many hits such as Ecuador, stay and It's my life. From http://www.danceartistinfo.com/ :

1996-1997
Sash! is a group consisting of 3 members, Sasha Lappessen, Thomas Lüdke, and Ralf Kappmeier. Sasha is the one who appears in the videos and performs live. The first single released was "It's My Life". But the success started with the second record "Encore Une Fois" which is a powerful dance hit, and raced through the club charts in Italy, Germany, Holland and the Scandinavian countries.
The third release was "Ecuador" which proved to be as strong as it's forerunner and was a No. 1 hit in the Scandinavian Dance Chart and also made it to the
Top 5 in the sales charts in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. It was also on the Top 10 Music & Media European single charts.
In the summer of 1997 the debut album "It's My Life" was released.
The fourth release was "Stay!", which is also a powerful dance hit in the same style as the previous two hits.

Remixes also by Future Breeze, check out this one:

WHAT IS TRANCE?

When I first heard a trance song I was about 15. In 1996 Techno, progressive, trance and hardcore were spreading in every disco and you could find Future Breeze, Fiocco, Bbe and many more at the top of the most danced hits of the week. I remember being home alone, radio at its loudest and the song of Future Breeze - Why don't you dance with me pumping out from the speakers. Since then I haven't stopped listening to those mind-travelling, otherwordly hypnotic rhythms. It is as if the beat of my life were running at the same bps as a trance song, especially when I am in a train heading somewhere. Oh I so love getting lost in daydreams and in sliding, if sometimes fading, landscapes, my mind flowing out reaching a state of trance.
But I am no expert in technical matters, I know a few djs names and several songs and this is why I have decided to start a blog about all genres of dance music, I want to learn more and keep on voyaging in this wonderful, polichromic and sometimes shocking world!!!
Anyways, this is not the best moment to write 'cos I am a bit tired, it's Sunday morning ( 01:23 p.m. and yes, it is morning) and I am craving for lunch. I'll  leave you with a very interesting link about trance music:
TRANCE: A DEFINITION
There, one of the first examples of semi-trance music in the panorama of trance music found in more commercial fields is Madonna with her 1998 album Ray of light. Which is your favourite song from that cd, if you have ever listened to it at least twice? I definitely love these ones:

Madonnna - sky fits heaven                                          Madonna - skin

Have a nice Sunday!
