WHAT IS TRANCE?

When I first heard a trance song I was about 15. In 1996 Techno, progressive, trance and hardcore were spreading in every disco and you could find Future Breeze, Fiocco, Bbe and many more at the top of the most danced hits of the week. I remember being home alone, radio at its loudest and the song of Future Breeze - Why don't you dance with me pumping out from the speakers. Since then I haven't stopped listening to those mind-travelling, otherwordly hypnotic rhythms. It is as if the beat of my life were running at the same bps as a trance song, especially when I am in a train heading somewhere. Oh I so love getting lost in daydreams and in sliding, if sometimes fading, landscapes, my mind flowing out reaching a state of trance.
But I am no expert in technical matters, I know a few djs names and several songs and this is why I have decided to start a blog about all genres of dance music, I want to learn more and keep on voyaging in this wonderful, polichromic and sometimes shocking world!!!
Anyways, this is not the best moment to write 'cos I am a bit tired, it's Sunday morning ( 01:23 p.m. and yes, it is morning) and I am craving for lunch. I'll  leave you with a very interesting link about trance music:
TRANCE: A DEFINITION
There, one of the first examples of semi-trance music in the panorama of trance music found in more commercial fields is Madonna with her 1998 album Ray of light. Which is your favourite song from that cd, if you have ever listened to it at least twice? I definitely love these ones:

Madonnna - sky fits heaven                                          Madonna - skin

Have a nice Sunday!
